Just last week, I had an assignment for my Senior Seminar course that asked us to take a “Personality Test.” The test was provided by Truity.com. It was the free research version of their best-selling TypeFinder Personality Test. This 44 question test, is designed to help individuals discover their “4-letter personality type code” based on the system developed by Briggs Myers.
If you visit the webpage directly, it will take you to their homepage, which offers a number of different tests to take- some a free and others require a payment. Do not pay to take this test! Just scroll down and click on “The Typefinder Research Addition.” This will not cost you any money and will give you the same results. The purpose of this test is to determine your four digit personality type. To my surprise, there are 16 different personality types, yes-16. The four digit code is a combination of the following either extroverted (E) or introverted (I), sensing (S) or intuition (N), thinking (T) or feeling (F) and judging (J) or perceiving (P).
The results of this Personality Test will not only tell you what personality type you are, but it will also help you decide what career path is best for you. After completing the test, I found my four digit combination is ENFJ- extroverted, intuition, feeling, and judging. This also means that I am high in creativity and self expression, high in helping others, high in persuading and low in organizing, thinking and building. Put yourself to the test and see how you fair!
